Its been a really long time....
So busy with work I dont get much time to sit in front of my computer any more....
There are so many things in my life right
now that require attention, I dont get
the luxury of surfing the net.
Work is good, a little boring and the commute sucks
but I have a House on the golf course to feed...
Life otherwise is pretty good. I really like having my own house.
My kitchen and garage rock. Im not sure if I want to continue
living on the golf course, I hate getting woke up by golf carts
and "wild golf balls".
I think im going to head out and shoot some photos with my D50 |

G.O. University went so well that im probably being promoted next week. Man I kicked some ass. I even went as far as to show up a double agent from another store in a meeting. This is going to be so awesome, I cant wait to get started this week. If I get the promo ill be the "Deputy Precinct Chief" for the store which means ill be running everything to do with the geek squad in my store. I talked with my manager and he said if we do well with Geek Squad that next year I could be a "Precinct Chief" of a standalone store making 100K+ a year. Oh man im so excited. |

I have my first day of Geek Squad training tomorrow and I have insomnia. I really have problems shutting my mind down enough to get to sleep. The next few months are going to be nervous and exciting. I really hope things go well and that this helps propel me in a good direction. I big part of my job is going to be focused on sales. I have never really had to sell anything before so im a little worried about that part. Also being in charge of like 10 techs and the work they do is going to be a challange. They told me that I would be running my own business with my department so Im looking forward to what I can learn. They have the tools needed for me to be successful.
I fly out to minnesota for Culture Training on sunday. Just when I had had enough of airplanes for at least another year or two, I land a position and needs to be sent to minnesota. There are people flying in from around the country from like 10 other stores that are grand opening like mine. I heard that its a pretty high energy motivating time. They are having John "Cougar" Mellancamp play us a private concert at the end. I guess last year they had Lenny Kravits, damn it I missed out!
Along with a job on the mainland comes a place on the mainland. Im thinking that ill be moved in 6 months. I haved looked at maybe buying a condo instead of renting an apartment. A brand new condo complex opened in lynnwood called Brio, they start at $120K. It looks like they might take care of thier own financing too so it might be easier to get one then having to go through a bank.
Mackenzie has a second interview with Macy's tomorrow. Im pretty sure she is going to get the job. They are going to put her in a clothing department. I think its called INC. She is pretty excited. She wants to be a buyer or an executive eventually.
I talked with Ian the other day and he is going to be getting an interview with a finance company. His uncle Tony is one of the corporate officers or something. I hope that he gets it, it would be really good for him, I think, to have something stable.
OK im going to try the sleep thing again, wish me luck. |

I GOT THE JOB!!, although it wasnt the really cool in-home tech job, but they made me a Sr. In-Store Geek. I have like 10 people to manage and sales and revenue to be responsible for, HOLY CRAP!!! It looks like there is going to be an awesome team supporting me so I think im going to be great. It sounds like im only 6 months- 1 year away from becoming a Double Agent. They even started me at the pay rate that I wanted. Oh man, im going to learn so much, its going to be awesome. |

Had my first interview today/yesterday for "The Geek Squad". Man to use a word from the book of Kenji, it was "rad". It was the best interview I have ever had for a job. Right off the bat me and the interviewer hit it off, our views on customer service are very similar. We got a little ways into the interview and he said, "Normaly these only take 10 minutes or so but I think your going to be here awhile." And I was. I interviewed for like an hour. Im pretty sure I have got a job in the bag, It's just a matter of which one. They have an in-store tech position, and an in-home tech position, I want the in-home position, thats when they give you a company car and everything and you get to take the car home with you. Anyway he said he is going to recomend me for the in-home position but that 2 other managers need to sign off on it, so the chance may be slim since they usually fill this position from internal canidates. Even if i dont get it, i think im going to take the instore position. It pays better than what I was making and it has a pay scale and huge room for learning and promotion. My next interview is monday, ill know more after that, then there is a third and final interview. I think I need to start at 15 to offset the cost of commuting but from what he said that figure is pretty reasonable. Not to mention the sweet best buy discount: cost + 5% |

We are at the airport waiting to board in a couple hours. Man this month went by really fast. I read 3 novels. 1 Dean Koontz and 2 Stephen King. I really want to come back. This first trip has taught me soooo much about traveling on my own. My next trip Im hoping will be in a year and Id like to come back here and see if I can work, or, maybe to Japan (Kenji?). I took many pictures, getting them developed is going to cost an arm and a leg but I really like having a real photo album rather then a virtual one. Im not looking forward to the next 18 hours on the plane. |

Have been in byron for 2 days now. Its pretty cool. If you want a place to be mellow hang out at the beach all day byron is the place. We stayed at a crappy hostel the first 2 nights. We moved into a new one today that for the same prive, we get our own bathroom, sweet. Got word that Ian is in Sydney already. I think he is at wakeup. We are flying on saturday into Sydney. We dont have alot of money left. Stuff is very expensive here. You can live pretty cheap if you live in the dorms and cook your own food from the grocery store but if you want to do anything, its pretty expensive. We found a Mexican place to eat at thats not to pricy, its kind of like a taco del mar. Speaking of which im having mexican food withdrawls. I have only seen 3 mexican resturantes since we have been here. The one in airlie beach wanted AU$ 24.00 for a burrito. Mackenzie and I talked about moving there and opening a Taco del Mar, it would make a killing with all the backpackers. |

have been in surfers for the last few nights im in the hotel / hostel right now leaching a wireless signal. a 7 foot blonde transvestite wearing a pink see through skirt and a red gstring just walked by me. i wasnt planning on talking about transvestites in this post but it just happened . kenz and i went to steve erwins zoo yesterday it was amazing, got some great photos. heard word that ian may be aroud here but that was a couple of days ago. we are heading for byron bay next. i have to figure out how we are getting there tomorrow. g'night |

Have spent the last week in Airlie beach on the mainland from the whitsunday islands. Its been really nice up here alot warmer then Sydney. Its really tropical up here like Jurassic park. Ian and Jade split from the roup two days ago, I really think this will be better for everybody. They headed south on the greyhound, I have no idea where they are going. Have been having a great time and doing well at managing our budget. They money is really going to burn at our next stop.
We are leaving here tomorrow and flying to Brisbane (pronounced bris-bun). We are going to take a train to the Gold Coast and then to Surfers Paradise where I have booked our next hostel, it looks nice. The Gold Coast the the theme park capital of Australia so Im sure we are going to visit most of them. We are also plannong on visiting the Australia Zoo, maybe catch a glimpse of Steve Erwin. After Brisbane we are goin to bus it to Byron Bay and stay there or a while, everybody says its really mellow and cool. We are then flying from Byron to Sydney for the last leg of our trip. I think we might stay at Bondi Beach this time instead of the city. |

QUAZNTAS LOST MY FUCKING BAG it wont be here till tomorrow, they gave me a little kit with shampoo and a t-shirt in it and a card that said SORRY, can you believe that shit. I havent slept much in the last 48 hours, man i cant wait to get to the hostel and lay down |
